Moved J.M.McIntyre and seconded M.Comiskey that the report be accepted. Carried.
J Nolan raised the subject of medals for team race events. Understands that the missing medals have been sent to Richard Justic but are still to be distributed. Mentioned also that 2nd division vintage A Team Race medals were not on list sent by G Wilson to T Stowe. J Elias to follow up with Mr Stowe.
Register of CLAS Equipment.
No response from clubs. To be followed up by Hon. Secretary.
NSW State Titles 2006
Hon. Secretary advised that Whalan Reserve has been secured for the event on the same terms and conditions that applied with the site when used in 2003 and 2004. Grass mowing is to be addressed with Blacktown Council when the time draws near. Speed events to be held at Luddenham on Monday of long weekend.
J Elias has undertaken to approach the chap with the chuck trailer who does the lunch for Werrington club at their competition. Suggested that hours limited to say 11.00am to 2.00pm may make the exercise a worthwhile proposition.
GENERAL BUSINESS contd.
M Comiskey advised the meeting he has the events under control.
J Nolan advised that in liaison with S Rothwell the following events will be held on Sunday in the order listed hereunder starting at 9.00am. Note that the Bendix event will be held at Luddenham on Monday if light prevents the event being held on Sunday.
Vintage ½ A
Vintage A (1st and 2nd division)
Classic B (incorporating Vintage B)
Speed (at Luddenham on Monday)
Bendix (if carried over from Sunday)
Meeting advised that Tom Barry is available to judge Vintage and Classic events and confirmation has been received from Denver Harvison that he will be happy to judge the vintage event. F2B judges still to be decided.
A duly programmed PC is to be sought to assist with F2B tabulation.
P Norrie to be approached to attend the mandatory risk assessment exercise at the beginning of the event.
J M McIntyre to liaise with B Eather to ensure that an adequate supply of current score sheets is available.
F2B Judging Clinic
One response has been received (D Keyssecker).
MAAA National Conference
It was noted that agenda item relating to a hardstand at Albury is to be supported.
It was noted also that the chairman of the Control Line Sub Committee has requested a report of NSW activities to incorporate in the report and that is being attended. J Nolan to compile a racing report, M Comiskey to compile a combat report and J McIntyre to compile a stunt report.
GENERAL BUSINESS contd.
Access to Funding
J Nolan advised for general information that State Government Department of Sport and Recreation is a source of funds for qualifying club projects and mentioned also that he had learned from Ku-Ring-gai Council that NIKE also makes available sporting grants.
P Turner advised that he has been informed there is no possibility of acquiring land within the Lakes Development area and that matter is now closed.
B Eather reported that there have been no further developments.
2006 World Control Line Championships.
After general discussion on funding assistance for competitors J Nolan moved the motion “$200 payment be made to NSW CLAS juniors representing Australia at 2006 World Championships”. Seconded B Swan. Carried.
