With a population of over 10,000 people Muswellbrook is situated 300 klms north
of Sydney on the New England Highway it is within easy reach to get away for the weekend.  The area supports a mixture of Agriculture, Mining, Cattle, Sheep and Horse Studs.  There is an Art Gallery, Shopping Centre, Vineyards and  two State Recreation Areas at Lake Liddell and Glenbawn Dam.  Wines as fine as anywhere in the Hunter Valley are available from local wineries with several registered clubs  and Pubs available for your interests to be entertained. There are several Motels and two Caravan Parks to stay at with an option of Camping on the flying Field in your tent or van, no amenities at the field but you could get a shower at the Pinaroo Caravan park for a couple of dollars. You may have to share the field with The Mouth From The South but it is cheap.
