In Summary. The success of the championship was due to the good will and good sportsmanship of the contestants as well as the dedication of the many club members and their families who willingly contributed to field preparation, judging, administration and catering tasks. Of particular note were the members of other local clubs and their families who jumped in to assist with field preparation, catering and judging tasks. All those who helped in even the smallest way should feel immense satisfaction with the way things turned out.

I also wish to pay particular tribute to our Registrar; Mr. Brian Burke put in innumerable hours in the background and demonstrated the good will and tolerance which mark him as one of the quiet heroes of our sport. Not satisfied with this contribution, he spent hours at the combat circles as an administrator and as a contestant.

Finally I must mention the generosity of Logan City Council and particularly Council Member Mr. Darren Power, which permitted the club to go that extra yard in the provision of quality facilities.
